What is the definition of the metaverse? Experts Adam Voss, SURREAL Events Co-Founder & CMO, and Wagner James Au, Author of the upcoming book "Making a Metaverse That Matters," joined Yahoo Finance and defined the metaverse in their own words.
“I say it’s like Roblox (RBLX), or Fortnite, or VRChat, or Rec Room, but bigger,” Au explained. Voss doesn’t disagree with Au’s definition, but adds that he sees these individual platforms as “silos” and explains why a lack of connection is an issue in the space. He told Yahoo Finance, “that connection won’t come until we find a way to solve for interoperability between these platforms.”
