SYDNEY, June 15 (Reuters) - JPMorgan's head of equity capital markets for Asia Pacific, Murli Maiya, is leaving the bank, according to a memo seen by Reuters on Thursday.
Maiya had been with JPMorgan since 1998 and will "pursue an opportunity outside of investment banking", the note said.
A JPMorgan spokesperson confirmed the contents of the memo.
The bank will create a new ECM International division which will oversee Asia Pacific and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) businesses.
It will be headed by Aloke Gupte and Alex Watkins, who currently head the EMEA ECM franchise, the memo said. (Reporting by Scott Murdoch in Sydney; Editing by Jan Harvey)
