Microsoft, Activision extend deal deadline, ASML lifts outlook: Top tech stories

Microsoft and Activision Blizzard have agreed to extend the deadline to close their acquisition deal to October 18th from its original July 18th. This will give the companies more time to to work out agreements with UK regulators. Meanwhile, semiconductor equipment manufacturer ASML boosted its full-year sales growth forecast.
