BERLIN, Aug 10 (Reuters) - Bayer said on Thursday its anti-blindness treatment Eylea, jointly developed with Regeneron, has been shown to achieve vision gains in more than 70% of patients when given at a higher dose at a longer interval between injections.
Eylea, which is normally given in doses of 2 milligrams every eight weeks, was given at 8 mg at intervals of up to 24 weeks, resulting in vision gains in more than 70% patients with wet age-related macular degeneration, the company said. (Writing by Friederike Heine, Editing by Matthias Williams)
