As retail earnings wrap up, Yahoo Finance takes a look at retailer sales growth, highlighted by Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF), which saw a 13 percent increase in same-store sales. Interactive Brokers Chief Strategist Steve Sosnick joins the Live show to discuss the state of the consumer, unemployment rate, student loan payments, and the effect on the economy.
Sosnick said, "People have jobs. The unemployment rate is flirting with record lows. Those who want a job have one. And when people have jobs, they can and do spend money. But I think people are getting a bit more nervous, they are a bit more cautious."
