Autodesk (ADSK) reported second quarter results that topped analyst estimates on both the top and bottom lines. The company also issued better than expected third quarter revenue guidance. Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost tells Yahoo Finance Live that the company is benefitting from the fact that "there's not enough labor, money, or materials to build or rebuild everything that needs to be made, they need digital transformation." Anagnost added that "our biggest customers spent more during the quarter than we originally expected," and that those customers "were adding more capacity to use more of our products." On top of that, Anagnost says the company has "a huge backlog of demand" and that there are some sectors that "haven't yet figured out how to fully deploy productivity to its full advantage."
When it comes to AI, Anagnost says the company is and has always been an AI player, and that it's not trying "automate creativity," but rather increase productivity.
