Aug 25 (Reuters) - Biopharmaceutical firm Neumora Therapeutics, which is backed by biotech Amgen and Japan's SoftBank, filed for an initial public offering of its shares in New York on Friday.
The filing comes at a time of renewed investor interest in IPOs following a flurry of deals in the United States and European markets, which have over the last year seen many high-profile startups shelve their listing plans due to market volatility.
Neumora did not disclose the size, timetable or other details of the offering in its regulatory filing.
The company expects to list its shares on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "NMRA". It has affiliates of Arch Venture Partners as its backers as well.
JPMorgan and Bank of America are the lead underwriters for the offering. (Reporting by Jaiveer Singh Shekhawat in Bengaluru; Editing by Shailesh Kuber)
