President Joe Biden downplayed a potential UAW strike against the Big Three automakers (F, GM, STLA), saying he is "not worried" about a strike and that he doesn't "think it's going to happen." Autoblog Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore agrees with Biden, saying the likelihood of a strike is "still relatively low." "That being said, this is the most aggressive, I would say, bargaining tactics we've seen from the UAW in quite some time," Migliore adds. Migliore also explains that with a pro-union president in the White House and the ongoing Hollywood strikes gaining support, "the mood for labor in this country is definitely swinging to a climate where there would be some support for workers."
